The drywall on the opposite wall still needs to be finished and painted, we brought the bathroom flooring out to the entryway to the deck, but now there’s a big lip because we still need to (one day) put the new flooring in the bedroom, and the wind was coming in at a weird angle one night and whistling in the cracks in this door because we haven’t quite gotten around to putting the new weather stripping in there either.
So there they are.All three of them.. Maybe I’ll just bring in another chair to go beside it.. And maybe just one little pillow for that one.
Or even a throw.. It’s a slippery slope. The front hall project continues!.I’ve been trying to tackle the floors a little at a time, but only when Kennedy’s out of the house, because of the toxic adhesive remover and all that..The problem is, the adhesive remover actually smells really good, all citrusy and clean, so you kinda.
It’s a bad situation, but it’s working!.This is after a couple of go-overs with the chemical.
You can see there’s still a bit of glue with some dirt and cat fur in it, but it’s starting to look a lot better!.
Here’s how it started out waaay back in October.. Now you can even see a bit of shine!Still, it was a big kitchen and it functioned well, so we made it work.. It’s really only taken a few pretty minor and inexpensive changes to make it feel like a brand new room and this little cabinet project has definitely played a big part.
We started out by painting all the cabinets a light grey color and that really made a huge difference. The room really brightened right up but we could tell as soon as we finished painting that removing all that extra trim would really make the whole room feel so much more open.
It was one of those jobs that really extended how long this whole project took by a lot, but in the end it was worth it..So down came all that trim!.
